Germantown is in Maryland, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Germantown follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A few years ago, this location used to be more authentic to the Amish aesthetic they’re going for. When I used to walk in the store, you would see mainly all Amish workers. Nowadays, they have less Amish and more people from other cultures working there (mostly hispanics). It’s just not authentic to the vibe of the store. If the store is called “Amish market” then common sense would let you think that they’re an Amish only business . I’d personally recommend the Pennsylvania location if you’d like more of an Amish culture vibe i’m planning a trip there soon and looking very forward to it.

One of the best Amish markets! All the staff are friendly, food is fresh and prices are okay but not necessarily cheap. $10 for a dozen eggs was outrageous. If you’re coming on a weekend and want hot food, go early or be prepared to wait for a while, the hot food line wrapped up around the store and I barely saw it move for a good 10 minutes. The store opening times are also wonky so plan ahead of time. Lastly, the furniture store that takes up atleast 1/4th-1/5th of the store and barely has any shoppers is odd. That could be a separate store

This place is special. A one of a kind grocery experience. Super popular on weekends just as they open so plan on getting there early unless you don't mind crowds and lines. Insanely large meat counter, candy shop, fresh made pretzels,a deli counter, cheese shop, furniture, bakery, and produce as well as a sit down restaurant. Prices are pretty similar to the average grocer but you'll definitely find some unique options on offer. The only ding against them is that besides the restaurant there is no other indoor or outdoor seating so while it's a great spot to hit up before a picnic, hike, or road trip, your car or heading back home are your only options to enjoy your finds.

If you're anywhere near Germantown, MD, do not miss the Lancaster County Dutch Market, this place is an absolute Amish wonderland of flavor! King’s BBQ Pit serves up some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The Amish-style fried chicken is moist, massive, and packed with flavor. Every bite is juicy with a perfectly crispy, seasoned skin. Honestly, I’m just glad we don’t live any closer or I’d be here every weekend without fail. Beiler’s Donuts are dangerously good. We grabbed the apple fritters, Oreo cake, and the chocolate peanut butter, each one more sinfully delicious than the last. They’re soft, decadent, and feel like they were made fresh just for you. And last but not least, the Amish soft pretzels. Yes, there’s a line. Yes, it’s long. And yes, it’s 100% worth it. Whether you go for buttery and salted or sweet with cinnamon sugar, you’ll be glad you waited. That warm, doughy goodness is comfort food at its finest. If you're even remotely close, make a trip to this market. You’ll walk out full, happy, and planning your next visit before you even leave the parking lot. Highly recommend!

A few months ago, while casually browsed Google Maps, I stumbled upon this farmer’s market with a very high review score, but it only opens three days a week. Today, I finally had the time to visit. This farmer’s market has many different stalls and small shops, such as bakeries, chocolate shops, fruit and vegetable stands, butchers, restaurants, a flower shop and a home goods store, among others. The environment is very clean and comfortable. You can find many items here that aren't available at other grocery stores or supermarkets, and the variety is extensive. The fruits and vegetables look incredibly fresh, as if they were just picked from the farm. There's a wide selection of very fresh meats, including many kinds of sausages. The cheesecake looks absolutely delicious, and you can buy it by the slice, quarter, or whole.
